Neal Morse....

posted Monday, 4 August 2008
I've been a fan of Neal Morse in all his various incarnations (pun most definitely intended) for about 3 or 4 years now.  He founded the Prog Rock band Spock's Beard then left in 2002 because he became a born-again Christian.  I have to admit, this is off-putting for me in terms of the lyrical content but the music itself is as good as it always was.

Neal sent me a notification earlier that he was due to play in Bracknell on the 9th of this month and do I wish to attend?  Yep, Neal himself not someone else.  Neal.  I'm quite happy about that.  I have contacted the church where he's due to play and asked if there are any tickets/seats left, if so then I'll probably go.

The chance of seeing Neal doubtless won't come round again and I would like to see him and hopefully meet him.  I consider him to be an extraordinarily talented musician, his musical output is prolific and although I don't believe as he does, I'm sure it will be a good show.

I was disappointed to miss this - did you make it? If so, was he good?

I didn't make it. I tried contacting the church and heard nothing back whatsoever because I wanted to know if it had reserved seating or you had to pay or whatever. I would have liked to have gone. I hope he had a good gig.
