I've lost a dear friend....

Not long ago, we received a telephone call from my Mum.  Her voice was breaking, she had called to tell me that my beloved friend Bramble had been put to sleep.  To say that I am heartbroken would be an understatement.  Words can never express all that he was for me, I quite simply adored him.  Kim has been wonderfully supportive, thank you babes.  I went over to where Jem and Atticus were sleeping, I kissed and held them both and told them that Uncle Bram was gone.  I held them perhaps a little more tightly than usual.
 
 

 From the very first moment Bramble's and my eyes met, there was a deep connection.  He was a gentle heart, a dear one.  He was kind, loving and beautiful, both inside and out.  He and I shared an intuitive bond, he got me through so many trials and tribulations.  He was a constant companion, a loving presence.  He enjoyed life and that quality touched all those who knew him.  My abiding memories are of him running around the garden or of darting about the house wide-eyed, chasing down invisible entities.  He was a character, he was my pal.  I miss you my sweet darling man and I'll never forget you.

Thanks Blackphi, I really appreciate it. Thanks also Mary Blu and Rachel. I bawled my eyes out for a couple of days and although I still feel the loss, my feelings have settled down somewhat. Time as they say is the great healer, we don't forget but we're able to adjust.
